Tämä kirja pitää sisällään tarinan tytöstä, Gwendolynistä, joka on melko köyhä. Hän menee siivoamaan kartanoon kesäksi, saadakseen rahaa tuleviin opintoihinsa. Gwen finds herself involved in something bigger when she ends up at a boarding school full of rich people. Strange things start to happen, and she slowly starts to lose control of herself. Even Gwen's new friends can't protect her from the horrors that await her next.

The work could be classified as a suspense novel or a murder mystery. It deals with the mental health of young people and how, for example, suicide also affects those close to young people through a fictional setting.
